Venturing into the World of ATCs and ACEOs

Two things got me going in this direction. 1. Snacker's Marchy March Felt a Long and 2. kreations suggestion to EtsyFAST members to all create some fiber ACEOs.

My theme is spring, the first blush of color as
the snow fades. Though maybe only I see the blue may flowers and the pale green grasses pushing up through the mud. LOL

Attempting to frame the card with a look of pine needles. Grandpa Chase crafted bowls, baskets and more by sewing pine needles in rounds - much like a rag rug technique. So trying to achieve that effect and rejuvinated some fond memories in the process.

Knitty Dirty Girl - do you recognize the yarn? Some bits of hand spun left over from another project that used some fab yarn from Rachel Marie.

Making these is a nice way to test out some techniques.

Still working on sizing to achieve a finished size exactly 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches. There is an inner layer of timtex to stiffen the card and plain fabric on the back.

Need to figure out what to do with the backs, for neatness and labeling. Am not happy with these backs.

I print off labels on clear label sheets and stick them on the back of my atc's and postcards, works like a charm!

Great cards by the way!

Weaver, Oh OH welcome to the punching mania. You are going to love it.

Sue b, Thanks so much. Great idea for labeling ATCs. Had not yet found ATCs on your blog, so will go and look further back. Have been keeping up with your great new works, but still have much past to explore.
