Funky to Fancy Hat and Hand Bag Show

Drum roll............

It is a great pleasure to announce that Glorious Hats will be part of a fabulous fall fashion show hosted by Jennifer of Artist Mercantile in beautiful downtown St. Paul, MN, Friday, Sept 28 through Sunday Sept 30, 2007. Other guest artists are Carly Stipe with duct-tape handbags and Candy Kuehn with sculptural hats and wearable art clothing.

Artist Mercantile primary milliner, Angie Sandifer will give a hat talk on Saturday and have many of her amazing hats in the show. Click for a preview to wet your appetite.

---So now you know why I've been so quiet on the blog for a while. working diligently to get 10-12 hats ready for this show. Delivered the Broccoli Set above, plus 10 others, yesterday. A gorgeous day for a road trip, vibrant fall color. Took us almost 12 hours round trip. Sure, could have shipped the lot, but this way got to meet Jennifer and see Artist Mercantile live. Oh YES! am so glad we could manage it. Jennifer is a lovely woman with a wonderful shop. Artist Mercantile is an Aladin's treasure trove; a multitude of works, colorful, well curated.

It feels really good to have hats in the Funky to Fancy Hat and Hand bag Show at Artist Mercantile. Many thanks and much appreciation to Jennifer for making it possible.

I just love this hat and scarf combo. It's fantastic!
Will you post pictures of the other 11 hats you made for the gallery? I don't live anywhere near MN.

Thanks knitted gems and thoughts on life and millinery. I'll be bringing the all out. Just did not want to put them all up before the show.. so just gave a tease and will eventually share them all. Am pleased with some new scarves as well as some new hats, dying to tell you all. But do want them to be fresh for anyone who is able to get to the show. Thanks so much, your interest is very encouraging.
