Men's Hats - Bowler and Fedoras

Second auction of the season was this past Saturday. With no cows looking close to calving, was able to take off for the day and drive up to the auction in Clearbrook, MN - about an hour north. Not too much in my line, EXCEPT - the black bowler above. A very old and very fine hat. Picked up a few other items, but left early and hit an antique store at Shevlin on the way home. That is where the 3 Fedoras were obtained. Sheryl Coulter, the owner is also a hat fanatic and has way more hats than even I do. Unfortunately she does not have the time to clean and refresh the hats. So relieved her of these three dusty fedoras.

Have begun the cleaning process for all 4 hats. Ought to have them done in a few days.

Will leave you with an inside view of the bowler. What a thrill to find one with the inside intact.

Nice acquisitions! Any plans for the hats? Any fine men around ready to put them on?

Thanks KG, Min and Cristina.

Ah Cristina, what I'll do is clean em up and then put them out for sale in "The Hat Box" a booth I rent in a local Antiques and Collectables Mall- the husband is not into these hat styles. But I still enjoy working with the hats and having the booth to resell them works OK for that.
