Introducing Versatile Vines

New from me for spring am introducing "Versatile Vines." The first set went out to Jen at Artist Mercantile. For the spring "St. Paul Art Crawl" (April 25-27, 2008) Jen is focusing on Earth Friendly works. Of course to me woolie goodies are green. Especially the hand made felt from well tended sheep.

Here is what goes on the hang tag:

Versatile Vine
Handcrafed from wool roving (cleaned, combed, natural color or dyed sheep fleece) Using traditional wet felt making techniques. The vine with flower and leaf can be worn many ways: twine the vineas a wreath necklace, bracelet, headband; wear as a dangling lariat neck-piece; wrap around a hat for a textured hat band; pin or braid into hair as a dread lock.

Care Instructions: Vacuum gently with hand held brush attachment. May be gently hand washed in cool water with wool wash soap such as Eucalan. Roll in towel to remove excess water, lay on drying rack to air dry. Do not twist, wring or agitate while washing or drying.

Store with precautions used for other wool items. Surface cleaning, airing, covering with acid free tissue, storing in a dry cool area.

Thanks for looking. Comments as always welcome.

Jane, those vines are great. I can think of all kinds of fun things to do with those...Tiggie said he thought they'd be fun to chase, but I told him they were too nice to use as a chase toy.

He is now turning his back to me.

Thanks Tiggie! Yes they would be good for playing stick. The feline pride here, likes the smell, the feel, and the texture of hand felted goods. I have learned to keep felt away from grasping paws.

Thanks Jill, yes us humans can find lots of used for these too. Glad you like them, too. I think they make good woodland fairy crowns too. Always open to ideas so if you have ideas, let me know and I'll add them to the list.
