Custom Fabric Belt

Fabric belt constructed from fabric sent to me by the client and a vintage metal belt buckle from my collection. Fabric was reinforced with iron-on fabric interfacing and sewn over 1 3/4 inch elastic. Green top stitching, purple under stitching. This ought to provide a substantial belt that is firm enough to be functional, yet be soft and comfortable to wear without creasing or folding. The belt was steam shaped over a pressing ham at various stages of construction to provide a natural curve and roll.

I enjoyed figuring out how to make this belt.

Huh...I alwasy wondered how to make a fabric belt that wouldn't roll. Nice to see you post again!

I'm itching to stop moving and start making a hat instead. And bummed we won't be in Houston in October for you to come visit and see the Quilt Festival. SLC is closer to MN though...maybe we can find an event to both attend up north a bit instead.
