Time to Put Up Broccoli

Ah the rain, has been good for fruit and vegtables this year, even though the temperatures have been unusually cool, the garden is producing large, luscious veggies.

We have enjoyed many radishes; and now broccoli has come to readiness. The first main heads are so tasty, we eat some raw and freeze most. Will contine to cut offshots for immediate eating and for freezing as long as the plants produce.

The dog now has 1/3 of the old garden space and the garden has been downsized - thankfully... more manageable and still produces enough for the husband and I.

Ogee wants to come over the fence and help, but he is still too young and brash. Here he is trying to claim he is calm and relaxed and ought to be allowed to enter the garden. Oh No!! do not be fooled, Ogee is young, smart and way too rambunctious to be among tender crops. We did go walkabout after I got the broccoli heads into the house.

And coming on strong is culiflower....... mmmmmmmmm yum!

Your puppy is so cute!

Every year I expand my garden. I haven't gotten to the size where it's overwhelming. maybe next year.

Your broccoli looks delicious.

I did get some purple cauliflower the other day. It is delicious! Isn't it fun to try new veggies?
